On May 27-31, a team of AZ Frame and IBM Polska experts in the field of mainframe systems took part in the annual IBM zStudy Tour 2024 event. This year’s meeting took place in Prague, where IBM Z and LinuxONE teams from Northern, Central and Eastern Europe could exchange experiences, extremely important in the context of developing partnership contacts.
The opening of the event was devoted to the strategy of IBM Z and LinuxONE (Alex Gogh) – we could find out where we are today, what the future holds for IBM Z and who will play the leading roles in improving the new technology. The conclusion seems obvious that the use of AI solutions will modernize subsequent IBM Z models, and the use of the Watsonx Assistant for IBM Z and Watsonx Code Assistant tools will improve and make more effective the interaction with the user.
In the light of the increasing number of threats and cyberattacks around the globe, there were interesting presentations and a broader look at the provisions on cyber resistance, new DORA and the EU Data Act regulations, in relation to the broadly understood protection of data and digital resources.
In the evening, IBM Z community partners and clients attended a network dinner where experiences and best practices could be shared among the attendees.
