This is the first such experience for most of the AZ Frame team – but everything indicates that it won’t be the last one. We were invited by Ingram Micro, the global distributor of the IBM brand, to participate in the “Friends’ Regatta”, which has been held for several years now, gathering the organizer’s business partners under sails. This year’s edition took place on September 13 and 14 on the Masurian Bełdany Lake and, apart from purely sportive emotions, became also an excellent opportunity to meet directly with people or companies with whom we often contact almost always remotely. AZ Frame entered two crews in the regatta, which started in two different sailboat classes – 24 and 27 (this refers to the length of the boat, expressed in feet). We had a great time, and the places we took prove that… the most important thing is, above all, participation and a positive attitude 😉. Our moods and determination remain on the upswing and if we manage to maintain it until next year’s event (at the same time strengthening our current potential), we promise that the winners’ podium will be within our reach!
Once again, we thank both the organizers, Ingram Micro, the helmsmen of our crews, Tomek Płoński and Zbyszek Cybulski, who patiently and safely led us through the reefs and depths of Bełdany – and ourselves, for our brave attitude and willingness to make further progress in the art of sailing.
