On 9-10th of September 2024, the AZ Frame team, representing the technological partner Pentera, took part in the 9th edition of the Conference “Energy Security – Pillars and Development Perspective”. The Rzeszów University of Technology Conference Center hosted companies from the energy sector, politicians, local government officials, scientists and experts.
In the face of dynamic geopolitical changes and growing threats, it is necessary to take actions aimed at strengthening Poland’s energy security, and that is why this conference was one of the most important meetings of the energy industry and a place for scientific and expert discussions on energy policy, energy security and the broadly understood energy sector. Energy security is one of the key challenges of the modern world. Ensuring stable energy supplies, protecting critical infrastructure and developing renewable energy sources are elements that affect our everyday lives.
Numerous thematic panels concerned, among others: energy security for a low-emission competitive economy, the economic dimension of energy security, flexibility as a key to efficiency and security, alternative fuels and their role in the economy, and the energy aspect in the context of Poland’s presidency of the European Union. An important point was also handing the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Award in the energy security category and awards for the winners of the national competition for the Most Energy-Innovative Local Government. Congratulations to all the winners!
The panelists and invited guests included: prof. dr hab. inż. Jerzy Buzek; dr hab. Paweł Kowal, prof. ISP PAN; dr hab. Zdzisław Gawlik, prof. UMCS; Dominik P. Jankowski – Deputy Permanent Representative to the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Poland to NATO; Grzegorz Onichimowski – CEO of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne SA, Magdalena Jarkulisz – Director of the Department of Oil, Gas and Hydrogen Economy (Ministry of Industry) and Szymon Byliński – Director of the Department of Electromobility and Innovation (Ministry of Climate and Environment).
The conference was organized by the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Institute of Energy Policy (IPE) in cooperation with the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology and the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Management of the same university.
